Eli's Family!

It's been quiet over here and we're betting you thought the Finishers were finished. No way! We're excited to be back in the finishing game in an attempt to help Eli's family! Who is Eli? We're so glad you asked, because we really want to share his picture with you.

Isn't he darling? They just don't come much sweeter than this little guy. His Mom and Dad travel to meet him in about 3 weeks. They're praying they'll only need to make one trip and we're believing for this with them. Eli's country is a relatively new program for our Reece's Rainbow family, so we're excited to see how things progress. All that being said, we've watched as Jamie (Mommy) has fund raised her heart out for Eli. They're within $1,000 of their goal to be FULLY FUNDED!

Right now, their family grant on Reece's Rainbow reads $5,030. Go ahead and check it out: Eli's Family Grant. Those numbers need to read $6,030. The Finishers have dug deep and come up with a $300 matching grant for Eli's family. That means that dollar for dollar up to $300 will be matched. Once the match is met Eli's family will only need $400 to hit the finish line.

We're starting this match, right now! It's a Friday morning and we're hoping that as you look forward to the weekend, you'll think of Eli and give a little of your fun money to help bring him home. His family will really appreciate it and you can read more about them on their blog. Please, help us spread the word by sharing on facebook and praying. You can make a tax-deductible donation to Eli's Family Grant and we'll match it to help bring him home.

We'll keep you posted as the day progresses! We have until midnight Saturday to meet the challenge, but we anticipate watching as God plows down this last mountain for the Allison family, today! Let's FINISH this!

Cooper Family Finish

Update: Another $125 in matching funds is available! That puts the matching challenge at $750. To meet the full match the Cooper Family Grant needs to be at $5,237. Right now, they have $4,810. We have just under 6 hours left in the matching challenge. Please, share with your friends and help this family finish strong!

The Finishers are at it, again! This time we're hoping to help finish the Cooper Family, today! We're really going to need your help. The Coopers are bringing home two beautiful little girls, Michelle and Felicia from Eastern Europe. Michelle has cerebral palsy and is almost completely blind, she has already been transferred to a mental institution. Felicia is 3 years old, has Cerebral Palsy and is in danger of being transferred to a mental institution. The Cooper family has stepped up. They are answering the call of God to care for the orphans. Felicia and Michelle are going to be their daughters. They've done tons of fundraising and now, they're close to being funded! They need our help.

The Coopers still need $2000 to be fully funded. That's not a lot! We can do this! The Finishers have a $625 matching challenge happening, right now for the Cooper Family. It ends tonight at midnight (EST). When we meet the challenge, they'll only need $750 more to be FULLY  FUNDED! Let's finish this today! Here's The Cooper Family Blog with more info about their need. They have already had $80 come in toward the match.

To take advantage of the match the Cooper Family grant needs to be at $5112. It's currently at $4567. You can go here to Reece's Rainbow and make a tax deductible donation into the Cooper family grant. Please, let's help this family bring home their girls. Here's who we're helping...

Share with your friends, give and pray! The Coopers only have a few weeks before they travel to pick up their girls. They need our help. Let's get this family funded!

Another Blog? Really?

Well, it seems like the thing to do. Start a blog to explain "The Finishers" and how they came about. All throughout our own adoption process, I had in my heart to help families raise the initial costs of their adoptions. The up-front costs are expensive and not tax-deductible, but then, God does what He does. He dropped a better plan (His plan) into my lap. We were getting close to funded when I had a wonderful lady, who at that point, I had never met, message and offer to do a matching grant. We saw God move mightily over the next few hours as our $1255 need was met and surpassed.

It was so much fun to watch and be a part of that I didn't hesitate when my new friend contacted me, again and wanted to help another family. A week after our family was funded we helped raise the funds for the Cole Family. During this matching challenge, I had another new friend message me and say they'd like to finish up the last $400 that the match just wouldn't cover. Now, we're onto something and my mind is racing. What could God do, if we could successfully match up donors with big hearts for orphans with families who were almost finished fundraising. Turns out He could do pretty big things.

A couple of weeks later, we had formed a small group of "Finishers." The Finishers would consider needs and help the families that God laid on our hearts. Next up was the Reed Family. The Finishers learned of their need, offered a grant and watch as God, once again, brought the funds pouring in. God is faithful! We witnessed all three of the first families get funded in under 12 hours!

The adoption process is long and emotionally draining. Our hope is to come alongside families for that last stretch and help them push through. I have watched as my friends, Ron and Trish Clark, traveled to meet their beautiful daughters and I have watched as they've struggled through waiting on court dates. They need some encouragement. They have faithfully done their part and The Finishers have stepped in with an $800 matching grant for this family!

If you'd like to help the Clark Family, you can make a tax-deductible donation here! Every dollar given up to $800 will be matched now through midnight! Please, share with your friends and help us finish this family, so they can be FULLY FUNDED! Two very precious words in the adoption community. I'll be happy to come back and update you with their "Gotcha Day" pictures of the girls! Those are the two best words in the adoption community!

Now finish the work, so that your eager willingness to do it may be matched by your completion of it, according to your means. For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have.

Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, as it is written: "He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little."  2 Corinthians 8:11-15

This is what it's all about friends, this giving and receiving of blessings is what makes the family of God such a wonderful family to be a part of. I'm so excited to watch as God uses the little bit that the Finishers has and mixes it with each of your freely given gifts and uses it to accomplish much for His Kingdom and His Glory!

There is currently $435 left in matching funds for the Clark Family. Let's all do our part to make this match happen for them!
